Our History

Many years ago, Glenda and Robert Cooper made an important decision. They decided to create an organization dedicated to helping local employers find people and job seekers to find meaningful employment. But mostly, they decided to create a staffing company committed to integrity and responsiveness.

Cooper Group Staffing brings together Glenda’s 26-year background in staffing and Robert’s long, distinguished career in safety and electrical training and development (the programs he created during his tenure with DuPont are still in use today).

Today, Cooper Group Staffing is proud of its place in the staffing industry. Locallyowned and operated, Glenda is on-site every day, involved in daily operations, leading by example and ensuring that Cooper Group maintains its high level of service standards. With more than 26 years of experience serving the Beaumont and Port Arthur areas, Glenda has an in-depth (and unmatched) understanding of the unique needs facing local employers. As a result, Cooper Group is able to respond quickly and offer customized solutions to staffing challenges.

Robert passed away in 2009, and is sorely missed, but his legacy is strong. He developed Cooper Group’s own safety system and is responsible for the accounting and payroll systems we continue to use.

When asked about her business, Glenda says, “We’ve built close relationships with our clients. We need to understand your needs, because your business is what matters.”
