I’ve never used a staffing service before. What are the benefits?
At Cooper Group Staffing, we will work one-on-one with you to learn about your background, skills and interests. We can then match you with a position that’s a good fit for you. In addition, we recruit for many companies throughout the Jefferson County, Orange County and Harden County areas who do not advertise their job openings. As a result, we can give you more access to better jobs.
Will I be charged a fee to use your service?
No, we never charge a fee to candidates.
How do I apply for a job through Cooper Group Staffing?
If you are interested in working with Cooper Group, you may search our available jobs or give us a call during regular business hours 8:00 to 5:00 M-F.
What kind of jobs do you fill?
We fill a variety of temporary, temp-to-hire, direct hire, and executive-level positions in Administrative/Office, Accounting/Finance, Medical/Legal Support, Construction, Operations, Purchasing, Technical, and IT.
What does temp-to-hire mean?
Temp-to-hire means you will be working at a client site as a CGS employee, for a predetermined time frame with the possibility of being hired full time by the client. If your assignment converts to a full-time hire, you will become an employee of the company where you have been working.
What kinds of companies do you work with?
We work with most companies throughout the area, including Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Orange. Our client base includes: Petrochemical companies, medical offices, legal offices, hospital and doctor’s offices, as well a hospitality and warehousing.
What if I am not interested in a certain position when it is offered; is it alright to turn it down?
We realize that not every job is going to meet your expectations. If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions based on your skills and preferences.
How many times should I check-in regarding my availability for work?
Depending on the position you are seeking, your recruiter will let you know when to check in. We generally ask that you update your availability weekly.
